| Ad Hoc Report |
| An ad hoc report is created by sending a request or query, for specific information and the query results show the most current information in the format you specify. |

| Aggregate |
| It is a function that performs a computation on a set of values rather than on a single value. For example, finding the average or mean of a list of numbers is an aggregate function. All database management and spreadsheet systems support a set of aggregate functions that can operate on a set of selected records or cells. |

| Alerts and Notifications |
| These are automated messages or signals sent via email, pager, and so on that indicate that a predefined event or an error condition has occurred and that some action need to be taken. Alerts allow users to receive critical business information in the quickest possible time. |

| Analysis |
| It is a process of breaking down of informational materials into their component parts, examining (and trying to understand the organisational structure of) such information to develop divergent conclusions by identifying motives or causes, making conclusions, and/or finding evidence to support generalizations. The fundamental forms of analysis are: Deduction, Induction, Pattern recognition, and Trend analysis. |
